EASY PEASY! NOTE: I don’t usually add additional salt. Some ranch seasoning, Worcestershire Sauce and salt and pepper to taste help season it. This recipe uses mainly cream of mushroom soup, and cream of chicken soup. I have said it before I don’t use cans of cream soup that much but I do have a handful or recipes that I use the soup in and it makes it so yummy and easy! The Sauce/Gravy for Slow Cooker Pork ChopsĬall it a sauce, call it a gravy, either way it is simple, delicious and full of flavor. NOTE: if you cut your veggies into smaller pieces the they will cook faster and can end up mushy and overcooked while bigger pieces may not cook enough. You can cut the potatoes and carrots as big or as little as you like. If there is a thicker part of the carrot near the top I will cut the slice in half so the carrot is smaller. The carrots I peel then slice into thinner slices. I chose to peel my potatoes because my boys do not appreciate the peel left on, but you can leave the peel on for easier faster prep. I cut my potatoes into about 1 inch pieces. of bone- in pork chops, which is about 8 chops. The carrots and potatoes are okay cooking the entire time with the pork chops. I put my green beans in the slow cooker for the last few hours of cooking time so they don’t get too soft. If it is a veggie that will cook in the slow cooker in a few hours or less, make sure you put it in the slow cooker at the end of the cooking time. You can also add other veggies like asparagus or broccoli. You can leave out any of these veggies that you may not like. I use Russet or Yukon Gold Potatoes, peeled and sliced carrots and fresh green beans. The veggies I use are simple, fresh and so yummy to eat along with the pork chop. You can absolutely use boneless pork chops if the bone is something you don’t want to mess with. The bone falls right after cooking in the slow cooker all day and the bone and fat on the bone helps season the gravy that the meat and veggies cook in. This meal has been a favorite at our house for years! It is simple ingredients, is easy to make and full of delicious flavors and veggies. Slow Cooker Pork Chops are delicious and easy! Shake a little salt and pepper on top of your pork chops and place them on top of it all. Spray your crockpot with cooking spray, then layer onions, potatoes, cheese and repeat, repeat, repeat until your crockpot is 2/3rds full or you run out of ingredients…luckily that was the same point for me. Slice up an onion…and try not to run out of your kitchen and scare your one year old. For me and my lack of finesse, it took around an hour to prep and put it all together, so I am guessing for the normal person, it will take 20-30 minutes. The reason I am telling you this is because I’m not quite sure how long to tell you the prep on this one will take. And when there are onions involved, I tend to run out of the kitchen convinced the burning sensation will never stop! Ah well…we all have our burdens to bear. She has a good chuckle when we cook together…she has such finesse when it comes to prepping ingredients…whereas I…umm…tend to concentrate a little more. My dear older sister says it is because I am too much of a perfectionist. If a recipe says it takes 20-30 minutes to prep, you can bet your bootie that it will take me no less than an hour. Now here’s the thing…I am a TIDBIT slow when it comes to prep. Well, I am sure glad Barb did in Gooseberry Patch’s Super Fast Slow Cooking! Two of my favorite foods together in the crockpot…pure genius! Why had I never thought of this? Are you looking for a one pot meal that will make everyone happy?
